California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance Rally

Today, I participated in a rally at the State Capitol, put on by the California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance, to protest President Donald Trump's plan to defund the U.S. Department of Education, which would eliminate federal afterschool funding for middle and high school students. The rally supported the Governor’s 2025 budget proposal, which increased the state's historic $4 billion annual investment in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P).

I was honored as California's "Champion for every child".  Thank you to California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance - CA3!
